New Year's Eve at Centrepoint!Published on January 01, 2019
What a great event at 101 Centrepointe Drive tonight to bring in 2019. This non-alcoholic, family friendly event started 29 years ago and has grown to be the biggest New Year’s Eve event in the city.
There were tons of different activities for adults and kids alike including horse drawn wagons, clowns, face painting, bouncy castle for the kids, and a spectacular fireworks display. The event drew approximately 10,000 people last night.
Special thanks to Rick Chiarelli, councillor for College Ward, and founder of this event 29 years ago. The work you have done over three decades has really paid off. Everyone I spoke to loved the event and had a really great time.
I also want to thank our provincial MPP Jeremy Roberts for helping to host this event, and joining me for a live video broadcast!
I had the opportunity to meet thousands of residents of Ottawa West-Nepean last night. Thank you so much for everyone who took the time to speak with me. Your time, and your concerns are very important to me.
